Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire by-election

The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) and Scottish Borders Council are currently running a by-election for one seat in the Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire constituency.

The timeline for this election is as follows:

• Applications open - Tuesday 21st October 2025
• Applications close - Friday 31st October 2025
• Candidate training - week beginning Monday 3rd November 2025
• Voting opens - Monday 17th November 2025
• Voting closes – Tuesday 25th November 2025
• Results will be announced shortly after voting closes.

The Scottish Youth Parliament will be holding online MSYP induction training during the week beginning 1st December. Details will be sent to successful candidates following the results announcement.
