East Lothian Constituency by-election - May to October 2025

The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) and East Lothian Council are currently running a by-election for one seat in the East Lothian constituency.

The timeline for this election is as follows:

• Applications close - 12th June 2025
• Candidate development and profile creation - summer 2025
• Candidate profile submission deadline - 29th August 2025
• Voting opens - 17th September 2025
• Voting closes – 7th October 2025
• Results will be announced shortly after voting closes.
