Candidate Profile

Why do you want to be an MSYP?

I want to become a MSYP because I believe every young person deserves a voice, especially when it comes to education, rights, and health and wellbeing. I want to make sure schools offer the support we need to succeed, both in learning and in life. I care about making sure young people know their rights and are treated fairly in all areas of society. I also believe physical and mental health are just as important as schoolwork, and more needs to be done to support young people’s wellbeing. If elected, I will listen to others and work hard to make real, positive changes.

How will you consult with the young people in your area or organisation to ensure that they are represented well and their voices are heard?

I will consult with the young people in my area by encouraging school's to help raise awareness of young people's rights under the UNCRC, schools can teach students how important it is to know our rights by embedding it into the curriculum and involving pupils into decision making. I will also use social media like instagram to gain feedback so I can listen and help make changes.

Why should someone vote for you?

I believe you should vote for me because I can prove to you I am sincere in my promises. I feel deeply passionate about the fact that young people should have a voice and be heard. I believe young people should help make the decisions about our future to help us gain success. I also believe schools should be a place where we feel comfortable and heard so we can achieve and feel proud.
