Candidate Profile

Why do you want to be an MSYP?

I want to be an MSYP because I want to help people within my community, I want to stand up for the youth of East Kilbride and work with others to find ways to fix their problems. I believe the opportunity of young people in East Kilbride has decreased and I would like to change that and build a town that is suitable for young people of the future.

How will you consult with the young people in your area or organisation to ensure that they are represented well and their voices are heard?

I will communicate with as many people as I can, I will make myself available through social media and I will host meetings and events. I will respect other peoples views and make myself approachable for all young people who have issues and will work hard to find ways to resolve these problems.

Why should someone vote for you?

By standing in this election my goal is to serve the youth of East Kilbride and make their voice heard. I come from East Kilbride, so I understand the changes we have experienced and how it has affected our opportunities.
I will listen to my peers and help stand up for their interests. I will co-operate with others in any area I can.
I will be understanding of other people opinions and views, and never treat any of my peers with disrespect. I want to be apart of the change which I believe we can achieve and build a better future for ourselves.
